The Job Search is a Full-Time Job Give Yourself Some Grace

Rejection emails. Applications that vanish into the ether. Interviews that feel promising… until they don’t.
Job searching can feel like a never-ending loop of hope and disappointment. It’s exhausting, not just logistically, but emotionally. And when the responses are slow (or nonexistent), it’s easy to spiral into self-doubt.
But here’s a gentle reminder:
🚫 The hiring process is not a meritocracy.
✅ The outcome is often out of your control.
✅ Your approach, however, is fully yours to shape.
Here are a few things that helped me stay grounded:
🎯 Set small, achievable daily goals. 1 application, 1 coffee chat, 1 LinkedIn post
🧘♀️ Take intentional breaks. Burnout isn’t exclusive to employment
💛 Reframe rejection. It’s not a verdict on your value, just a redirection
This is hard work. But you don’t have to do it alone.
